Building with aircrete - v. expensive?
We are planning an extension and will use block and render. I read that aircrete has inherent insulating properties lacking in concrete blocks. Also they are light so the building goes up more quickly. However there must be a catch and I suspect it's either performance or cost.
I read about them in the Housebuilders Bible and tonight they were used by the builders on Grand Designs. I've had a look at the prices but, knowing nothing about blocks or building I found it hard to compare like with like. Has anyone out there used them?
I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
