Have you considered??

  • I saw that you moved to Hawaii. Have you ever considered Puerto Rico as a home? It is a US territory with all the federal laws and services of the USA , have better beaches(in my opinion ), than Hawaii, and you dont need a passport if you are an American citizen. I went to Hawaii once, but the soil is too sandy and not a real tropical island. In contrast, Puerto Rico is a real tropical island with a rain forest, the soil is very fertile and naturally black. You can farm most fruits, grains and tubercules like Yuca, potatoes, etc. And right now, since the government is going thru a financial hardship, most of the properties there are at an all time low price. The government even gives xtra low interest loans for farming. You should take a vacation there and tell me what you think.

  • Interesting points, however I would offer that Hawaii has MANY microclimates depending on island, and Big Island is probably the most diverse. The relocation to Hilo is just about 20 minutes from a rainforest where I happen to have property, and there is NO sandy soil. I believe they are located in Hilo which is MUCH warmer and sunnier. Sounds like both Hawaii Island and Puerto Rico both need solutions for low-resourced communities, but certainly if a workshop is offered in PR, I'd consider visiting!
