Graphene and Aircrete
I have been learning about Aircrete and then I learned about Graphene.
When you added Graphene 2-5% to Cement, you can double the strength of Concrete
But then I learned about Graphitic Sand. GS
By using GS, we can get unto 9x the strength.
So now I want to create GS and add it to Aircrete.
I think this is the future building material GraphAirCrete and Grapcrete
So I wanted to start this Topic so that we can share and discuss it more
I too recently saw something about this.
Do you know the cost and supplier??
I'm finally going to get around to making some aircrete planter boxes when it warms up. I have a gallon of drexel waiting to be opened!!
@craigglewis unless it’s very light , almost all aggregates will collapse the aircrete being that it has bubbles…sand especially…
@ignacio-dhome The You tube I saw it looked like a fine powder. I'll try and find that video and post it here:
I think graphene nano ribbons would work quite well with aircrete. There is only way to find out. I'm not yet wealthy enough to invest any money in finding a supplier and experiment with it ( Maybe after my Bitcoin is worth a few mill I'll be able to come back to this thread!!! LOL)
Actually, after thinking about this, it may be better to leave the aircrete core alone and use the graphene in the finish coat.
Like a Nerf football has foam interior and a rubber skin.
I wonder if a graphene reinforced stucco would make skinning the aircrete with roof clothe unnecessary.
@upwinger One question. How much does this graphene cost?
