Joining aircrete bricks and covering dome
-
Hi everybody, I just wanted to know what are people finding is best to join the aircrete bricks together when making the dome? Are people using regular cement, a modified recipe of aircrete with less foam or some other bonding agents like tile cement? Also has anybody used anything else than the roofing fabric to cover the dome to reinforce it? Is the fabric infused in regular cement or aircrete?

I think the bricks and the reinforcement fabric are joined with regular cement and sand mix.

Here are DomeGaia's favorite recipes. I'm told they are included in the Workshop Student Manual. Follow the hyper link to see them online as well.

@Zander Thanks for the info

The recipes that I had posted on the website the other day for AirMortar and FabricCement had some major errors. If you took the time to read them before last night, please look at them again before attempting to use them. At this point the whole DomeGaia team has reviewed the recipes and agreed that they are indeed a true representation of the recipes that we normally use. Please consider these recipes as a starting point. There is always room for improvement, personal preference, and special project applications that may benefit from adjustments.
