      Hello Domies!

I am seeking more information and resources about how to design domes to create resonance.

What do you know about the resonant and harmonic frequencies of domes and how they relate to the shape of the dome?

How may I design a dome to invoke a certain resonance like Lukas Kühne does in his artwork Tvisongur in Iceland? ( http://www.visitseydisfjordur.com/project/tvisongur-sound-sculpture/ ) In this artwork, he designed each dome to have "its own resonance that corresponds to a tone in the Icelandic musical tradition of five-tone harmony, and works as a natural amplifier to that tone."

Furthermore, I wish to take advantage of the nodes and antinodes of the acoustical patterns within the dome shape to further enhance such resonances as demonstrated in studies of ancient resonant structures. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/259060366_Acoustical_resonances_of_assorted_ancient_structures

      Thanks,
      Tim
