I have plans to build in Butler county Alabama. You are a distance from me but might be interested in coming up and gritting some hands on experience. When you are ready to build just give out details and I will see it it's doable. It would be nice if a few helpers came my way when I am ready but I am very remote, no infrastructure yet.

I am a new member of the forum and live about 80 miles from Athens. Is your project underway, still in the works or already completed? I would volunteer labor to get some experience.

jason1374, not sure which person you are replying to but as for me I keep having issues delaying my start of the project. Working thru them and will certainly inform all on what and when I start building.

I am hoping to get started this spring/summer. Logistics is still an issue due to no infrastructure. I will build a simple rain water collection system like I live on at home. Then I just need to get my generator in top shape. Then I can start making blocks.
If anyone is close enough to volunteer with primitive camping and such let me know. I am working with very limited resources and could only provide camping and experience.
Also a couple of people have stated that they were starting a project in Georgia. Any updates on that?
