Prep blocks for electric, etc.

How do you prepare blocks to run electric/plumbing through?
-
My plan is to simply carve a trench large enough to lay the conduit (plastic) in the inner wall and then apply my fabric and finish coat. It will be easy to pull wire and easy to tear out and replace or move if ever necessary.
-
I was wondering if there is a way to lay a pipe in the blocks to allow for conduit to be placed? I do like the trench idea. Assume you would just cut it out with a saw?
-
@ormom8 Easy to cut. No need for conduit...

@Ignacio-DHOME thank you

Would a router work for quick channel cut outs? Then re-finish it with another layer of polyclothe.
-
@upwinger A router would work just fine. You could just scratch a trench (very easy to do) and lay the wire, tacking it up with staples then applying the finish layer. I only thought of the conduit to make "rewiring " easy if I have to replace a faulty wire.
-
@anthonydjones I would definitely want easy access to be able to change the wires or plumbing if need be.
-
@ormom8 Yes! Aircrete presents us with new paradigms of creativity. You could just tack your wiring up to the inside of the walls and finish with the earthen or "other" finish. Then if you need to change it just scratch them out. They would only be an inch or so deep. and re-plaster. The conduit would provide some protection from something banging into the walls and shorting out a wire. I encourage everyone to NOT create new "Aircrete rules boxes". Live creatively and outside the "boxes"
