Aircrete finishing -
-
Normal aggregate concentrate must sit for some time before floating or finishing.
Can Aircrete be floated? How do you know it is ready?
-
@rhinoscout I would'nt. Aircrete is more of a filler/insulator...It's not structual alone without mesh....

@Ignacio-DHOME sorry, I don't think I answered your question properly. Aggregate? Aggregate generally refers to the additive one adds to cement to make it stronger Ie. sand, rock....
-
@Ignacio-DHOME
I see your point about the mesh, like paper on drywall.
A question please...
I bought APOC 482F polyester roofing reinforcement fabric to understand your process. How and why did Domegaia choose that product. I picked up the $13 roll of polyester landscape fabric (3'x25') and other than color - no difference.
I soaked pieces of both in non-shrink grout this weekend (a variety of other fabrics too) to compare. Burlap-crete recommended the grout.I also am considering the EIFS mesh (Exterior insulation foam system)

I would love to see the results of your fabric test. I was thinking the same thing about shade or ground cloth. Seems it would work cost is my concern. If a cheaper fabric is found that does the job we are all better off.

@anthonydjones how do I attach pictures?
-
Pictures? I don't really know but try cut past or drag and drop. I can't find a tutorial or help tab to find out. I know someone in here knows how.
-
@rhinoscout I do not recoomend thE APOC. the weave is too tight. Use a wider mesh like Home Depots Elfexmesh EF-38150. wider weave and strong.
-
@Ignacio-DHOME make sure to put a film down on the wall before applying the mesh and gioing over again with glue. It gives a much better bond.

@rhinoscout Picture test
OK, looks like it worked. So- click on "Reply" button
- click on the last button on the top right "upload" icon
- select the picture you want.
Turns out it's very easy. Hope this helps everyone.
