Would like to build a tiny aircrete home, dome or other style. We live on 10 acres, are in our middle years and work full time. Looking to create a more sustainable, environmentally friendly future. Other possible projects, such as converting an old concrete barn basement (wooden barn gone) into an earth sheltered greenhouse. We have a little dragon, tools, etc. Possible work exchange (live, rent free) or wages, or a combination. Exploring options.

Northern Lower Michigan couple seeking help to build
Garage Shed Patio?
Hi Friends. We just purchased the little dragon. I am very enthusiastic about this equipment and love the work that Dome Gaia is doing. However, I/we, my husband and I, I know virtually nothing about aircrete Construction. We would love to build a dome sometime in the near future but for this summer and fall we really need to put up a garage and do some other building projects with blocks. We would also like to create patio stones for an outdoor patio. We live in northern lower Michigan where the climate is very cold, we are in one of the very coldest areas of the state. We have a lot of snow and whatever we construct will be at least partially under snow for several months of the year. Just wondering if anyone out there has use the aircrete method in a climate like ours to construct a garage for example? A shed? A block wall or supporting wall? Can it be used to make slabs for the roof on a shed, for example? Does anyone know of a good book or an online resource that we could study to learn more about this? Thank you so much.
Aircrete bricks 4 Homestead building projects?
I would like to ask if homemade aircrete blocks may be used to build structures such as a garage, a shed, a garden wall? In addition, we hope to convert the basement of a former Barn into an earth-sheltered Greenhouse. We would do this by building a low wall around the structure, up top, on the ground around the space, then adding a greenhouse roof. The basement itself is in pretty good shape on three sides, being made of concrete blocks and cement. One wall, however, is made with stones. This needs repair. Are homemade aircrete blocks suitable for such an application? Would the formula need to be changed? We look forward to using the system to create patio blocks, sidewalks and other creative projects but I'm wondering about heavy duty Construction. any books that might be recommended that we could learn more about this? Thanks very much!
