    • RE: waterproofing the dome

      @claudettn Quickly. Standard industry procedure for exterior stucco (not plaster) is three coats. One rough scratch coat at least 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Second scratch coat roughly the same. And finally a third finish coat textured or applied to your liking. All stucco mixes are at least 3-4 parts fine sand to cement. Use a high quality elastomeric waterproof/glue/hardener. Follow directions for ratio to water when mixing. THEN finally apply at least 2 coats of your cement sealer or acrylic clear coat. OR just buy high quality premix stucco bags and save yourself all the hassle of this. In my opinion this is one area that you do not want to cut corners.

    • RE: Anyone in North America done this to code / got occupancy permit?

      @spectrumjim

      We are currently in the process of working with an engineer and will be the first to my knowledge to get a design permitted in the US. We can help you with some advice towards the process if you like. Aircretedomes@gmail.com
